Drive Lounge and Acer Launch Free Esports Academy for 500 Children.

Acer and Acer for Education in partnership with Drive Lounge, is excited to announce a free summer esports academy that will offer 500 children aged 10-16 a unique opportunity to delve into the world of motorsport esports. The six-week program, running three mornings a week during the school holidays, will provide a blend of educational sessions, analytical workshops, and hands-on practice in Drive Lounge’s state-of-the-art racing simulators.

Academy Highlights:

 

Comprehensive Curriculum: Over six weeks, the academy will offer three sessions per week, combining theoretical learning with hands-on experience in Drive Lounge’s state-of-the-art racing simulators.

In-Depth Exploration: Participants will learn about the foundations of motorsport esports, including popular games, tournaments, and potential career paths. Sessions will delve into the physics of speed, forces, resistance, and aerodynamics, crucial factors in optimizing race performance.

Cutting-Edge Technology: The academy will utilize Acer’s Predator Orion 3000 desktops, Nitro N50-600 desktops, and Predator Connect W6 mesh routers, providing participants with the latest technology to enhance their learning and gaming experiences.

Academy Details:

 

Eligibility: Open to children aged 10-16

Session Format: Each child can attend one session (all sessions have the same format)

Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Times: 9:00-10:00am or 10:00-11:00am

Session Capacity: 16 participants per session
