Groundbreaking ‘eduu.school’ curriculum adopted by 90 primary schools in West Midlands

Hodder Education and Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust (CAT) in the West Midlands are delighted to announce the adoption of their pioneering eduu.school online curriculum bringing a revolutionary new learning platform to inspire, excite and engage children throughout their education to 90 primary schools in Sandwell LA.

“We are thrilled to be working with Sandwell’s Primary teachers to help change the lives of more young people through delivering the eduu.school curriculum, raising standards, reducing teacher workload and supporting learners with curriculum content and wellbeing” said Paul Cherry, Director for Policy, Partnerships and UK Sales at Hodder Education.

The primary focus for the project was to close the disadvantage gap for young learners in the region and make education exciting, engaging and accessible. The programme covers dynamic themes from all national curriculum content. Amazing Islands, Catastrophe and Mummified are just three examples of topics the schooling covers.

Commenting on the project, Sir Mark Grundy, CEO Shireland Collegiate Academy Trust said: “As a Multi-Academy Trust serving our part of the West Midlands, we have always believed that one of our key roles should be to help our students in and out of school as much as we can, and reduce work pressures on our staff. A key solution has been the development of our on-line curriculum, and this has served us very well. Working with the team at Hodder Education has taken this to a completely new level!”

Sandwell Programme Co-ordinator said: “The inclusion of eduu.school as part of our solution has sparked a completely different level of discussion about adaptive teaching whilst having the potential to reduce teacher workload.”

Developed over 16 years, the program uses music, art, reading poetry and virtual museum visits to inspire learners and ensure they are getting the most from their education. Each lesson includes assets to enjoy at home, supported by spectacular resources from children’s publisher What on Earth books which are now available to Sandwell families.
