The last week of term rarely goes to plan – reports are written, classrooms are half packed up, and attention spans are at zero. For teachers after something low-effort but meaningful to fill those final lessons, Premier League Primary Stars has three free wellbeing resources that fit the bill.
Resilience, created with the Harry Kane Foundation, uses England Captain Harry Kane’s own story to help pupils shift their mindset from “I can’t” to “I can,” exploring how to reframe unhelpful thinking and bounce back from setbacks.

Play the Right Way uses an inspirational film and the Premier League Primary Stars Values to help pupils think through how to respond positively to challenging situations – both on the pitch and in the playground – before putting it into practice with a Values Challenge.

Building Self-Esteem helps pupils understand what self-esteem is and explore practical tools to build it, such as accepting mistakes and reframing negative self-talk, featuring professional footballers Theo Walcott and Jill Scott. One KS2 PSHE teacher has noted that self-esteem is an increasingly common issue in primary schools, making this kind of resource a useful, engaging starting point.
All three are designed to need next to no preparation, making them an easy way to end the term on a positive, low-key note – without adding to an already long to-do list.
