ACAP is an innovative early help model that focuses on strengthening the adult/carer – child relationship.
The ACAP practitioner primarily works with the child in a one-to-one setting. The intervention is aimed at children 3+ to late teens. It can be offered to both neurotypical and neurodiverse children and adapted according to the child’s need.
The ACAP model integrates both theory and practical so that practitioners are confident in the Why and the How in delivering this innovative, creative and effective intervention.
Thanks to generous extension funding from Oxfordshire Council’s ‘Step Change’ Fund, (who also supported the recent launch of Clear Sky’s Emotionally Healthy Schools platform), Clear Sky have been able to gift 20 free places on our new ACAP programme to teachers in Oxfordshire schools.
Clear Sky’s vision is to enable ALL schools to access the therapeutic tools that they need to support children, by providing essential mental and emotional health skills to teachers, outside of the requirement for additional therapy provision. Our Emotionally Healthy Schools online platform does just that, and our ACAP programme goes even further, by providing further specialist skills for key school SEMH leads.
