At Big Creative Education (BCE), we welcome the government’s recognition of the challenges within the SEND system and the commitment to increasing funding for education providers and local authorities. Many young people require support in class and this is something we take very seriously at BCE. Half of our young people, talented creatives, have SEND, safeguarding or mental health needs, and our dedicated curriculum and support teams provide high-quality teaching and care.

It’s good to see SEND back at the centre of national conversation, and the funding is a welcome boost.”
The announcement of inclusion hubs will provide much needed specialist support to all education providers. We look forward to working with schools and local authorities to support young people. At BCE students can access a suite of support measures including clinical art therapy, mental health resources, welfare and an inclusion team dedicated to supporting their studies.
One parent of a student with SEND said: “I am grateful for the fantastic support my son received since coming to BCE. We’ve had mixed experiences at other colleges but now he is working to distinction level and going to university in September. This is something I never thought could happen. Like a dream.”
Our strategic plans are to increase provision to deliver an outstanding and comprehensive package of student support, implementing a tailored system and bespoke guidance for young people.
