New app is one stop shop for parents to stay up to date with all school communication

– Industry-leading edtech collaboration transforms parental engagement in schools –

08/09/25: Parental engagement is a priority for schools. But it can be frustrating for parents who have to continually hop between multiple tools and apps to pay for lunches, review homework or find out about a school trip. A new app launched today by edtech experts VenturEd Solutions changes all that.

Eduspot automatically brings information together from the many different systems schools use to send notifications home or receive incoming messages from parents and displays it in a single app.

For the first time, parents and guardians can check attendance, get the latest updates on behaviour and monitor assessment grades for all their children from one app – even if their children go to different schools.

Marc Robinson, managing director, VenturEd Solutions, said: “Keeping parents up to date can be an administrative nightmare. The numerous apps and systems schools use to track and share information on pupil progress have become barriers, and information overload can quickly turn parents off.”

Unlike other education apps, which usually only allow access to data from one supplier’s systems, Eduspot can provide any supplier with its API technology to integrate data securely. This means that any solution could potentially connect into the platform, giving schools a universal app for parental engagement.

“The beauty of the Eduspot app is that it sits on top of the different systems schools already use and combines the information in them automatically. This means teachers don’t have to constantly switch between systems to keep families up to date and parents can access everything they need from each of their children’s schools from the app,” said Marc Robinson.

Information on multiple children attending different schools can be automatically pulled into the app so parents simply tap on their child’s profile within Eduspot to access the latest information, updates and payments.

The app can also be used to keep text costs down for schools as the system can send in-app notifications to them instead of a costly text.

VenturEd Solutions has a growing network of edtech partners whose solutions can be directly accessed from the Eduspot app, including Medical Tracker, used by schools to manage pupils’ health and safety, and Uptime, a bite-sized learning content creation tool.

Daniel Neeld, managing director of Medical Tracker, said: “Parents shouldn’t have to juggle a patchwork of apps to learn their child used an inhaler at lunchtime, earned a behaviour award, or needs to top up dinner money. With Eduspot, VenturEd Soutions is delivering a single, secure app that joins the dots for families and strips out complexity for schools.”

Jacob Golding, senior vice president, partnerships, at Uptime, said: “VenturEd don’t just talk about changing education for the better, they’ve been doing it for many years. Our involvement in Eduspot will transform how schools manage parental engagement and enable us to scale our products more quickly to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing. It’s a real turning point in education.”
