Parents can raise a £100 donation for their child’s school while booking half-term breaks

As schools face a further tightening of budgets in 2025, savvy shoppers can help their school out without spending an extra penny

The UK’s leading cashback fundraising platform, easyfundraising, has unveiled a way for parents to support schools, amid news of a further tightening of budgets in the sector.

Recent research from the School Cuts coalition highlights how 76% of primary schools and 94% of secondary schools won’t be able to afford next year’s rising costs, with more turning to alternative sources of income.

Fundraising experts at easyfundraising, in partnership with Tui, are offering up a welcome response to this growing problem by giving holiday makers the unique opportunity to generate a £100 cashback donation for their child’s school with Tui holiday bookings (excluding flight-only purchases).

Running from the 1st-31st March, Tui holiday bookings made via the easyfundraising website or app by supporters of a KS1-KS4 school or PTA will raise a free £100 donation paid on your behalf by the travel retailer.

How it works is simple:

  1. Sign up to easyfundraisingand select your child’s school or PTA as your chosen cause. (If their school isn’t on there yet, let the school know they should sign up!).

  1. When you next want to shop with any of the 8,000 retailers on the platform, log in to easyfundraising first, click out to the retailer, and a free cashback donation is raised on your behalf – at no extra cost.

  1. If you’re thinking about booking an Easter or Summer package holiday, such as an all-inclusive resort, cruise or a weekend city break, book with Tui and you will be awarded a £100 donation to your chosen school.

To date, shoppers using easyfundraising have raised over £16 million for schools and PTAs, helping to fund textbooks, extracurricular activities, and numerous drives throughout the school community.

Chloe Jones, an easyfundraising user, who uses funds from the platform to run a free coat and welly drive for her children’s PTA said: “We wanted to ensure that every child is treated equally and has the same experiences and an equal start in life.”

Currently, the platform supports over 23,000 schools from all corners of the UK, with over 400,000 dedicated shoppers supporting education causes by raising free donations – all at no extra cost.

James Moir, CEO of easyfundraising, says: “We know schools are under a lot of financial pressures over the last few years. The costs of post-COVID catch ups and rising costs means school are actively search for alternative sources of income.

“easyfundraising presents the perfect opportunity to tap into unrestricted funding, with the best part being, it won’t cost an extra penny. Throughout March, we’re urging parents to sign up and get involved – by making any booking (besides flight only) with Tui and you’ll generate a £100 donation for your school, with just a few extra clicks.”

The team are urging shoppers considering an Easter escape to sign up to the platform to support their local schools. At a time when alternative funding sources are in such high demand, generating a free £100 donation at no extra cost is a simple way to help schools combat their funding shortfalls.
