Teachers from Merseyside were among the first to experience a new initiative from the Premier League Primary Stars and EA SPORTS FC, designed to promote teamwork and inclusion in schools.
On Thursday 27 November, educators joined a special webinar and panel discussion at Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium to explore how football can help pupils develop life skills beyond the pitch. The event featured former Premier League footballer Joleon Lescott, England Lioness and BWSL star Nikita Parris, alongside education experts from Everton in the Community and local schools.
The panel shared insights on how communication, collaboration, and confidence are essential for pupils’ wellbeing and success – and how teachers can embed these values in the classroom and playground.
This webinar marked the launch of Positive Play with EA SPORTS FC, a free Key Stage 2 resource available through Premier League Primary Stars. Developed with teachers and subject specialists, the resource combines:
- In-game drills from EA SPORTS FC 26
- Leadership and accountability activities
- Practical ideas for PE and classroom sessions
Recent research shows that four in five young people say sport-themed video games motivate them to be active in real life, and this resource taps into that passion to make learning fun and impactful.
