An award-winning online educator, which has boosted its pupils numbers to over 1,000 in just five years, has launched a new hybrid service to help schools offer more subjects to their students.
MVA (Minerva Virtual Academy) has launched MVA Hybrid to help schools, local authorities and sporting academies with their education offer.
MVA already supports over 25 football clubs, including Champions League finalists Paris St Germain, 70 local authorities, and has learners dual-enrolled in over 100 schools across the UK and beyond.
It is now formalising that offering, and developing it further in order to meet the needs of each individual organisation.
MVA Hybrid is led by former MVA Headmaster Lawrence Tubb, and Kate Meeks, who has been with MVA since 2022 and was the founder of Your Favourite Teacher, a school partnership platform supporting learners through online teaching content.
Lawrence said: “There is growing global demand for flexible access to British-qualified teachers and curriculum delivery that aligns with UK education standards.
“Schools worldwide face staffing shortages across all subjects, but particularly in British curriculum subjects at GCSE and A-Level. This is also an issue for independent schools here in the UK.
Schools risk losing students when they can’t offer a full subject portfolio, particularly in areas like Business, Psychology, or Computer Science.
“MVA has an established online teaching model that is trusted by a large number of organisations. MVA Hybrid extends this success to a partnership-first model for global education settings.”
