Stephen Perse Cambridge is celebrating the launch of its one-year IGCSE programme, which will provide students aged 15 to 16 years old with a fast-track pathway to A Level studies from September 2026.
Students will sit six IGCSE subjects including Mathematics, Science (Triple Award), English Language and a choice of either Business or Geography, with optional language courses available. English language support and an extensive co-curricular programme will provide students with the opportunity to enhance their existing skills and try new activities to support their personal development. The IGCSE programme will be available to both local and international students who meet the admissions criteria.
Stephen Ward, Head of Senior School and Sixth Form, said: “At Stephen Perse Cambridge, we continually assess and evolve our educational offering to meet the needs of students and their families. The launch of our new IGCSE one-year programme builds on the success of our standard two-year GCSE pathway. It offers a rich and varied curriculum that prepares young people for A Level studies through an accelerated programme, supporting students moving into the UK education system from overseas, or returning to the UK after a period of residence abroad. Students from all backgrounds will now be able to access the best of a British education in just one year.”
