EdShed has been named the winner of the Kids Judge Bett Award for Best Young Learning Resource.
The Kids Judge Bett Awards place children at the very heart of the judging process, inviting pupils from across the UK to explore, test and evaluate educational resources showcased at Bett UK. Being chosen by the children themselves makes the award particularly special for the EdShed team, whose mission has always been to make learning engaging, inclusive and enjoyable for every learner.
Feedback from the young judges included:
“We are choosing EdShed because it’s inclusive for all learners, which promotes well-being. The homework looks fun and engaging and you don’t need paper, which makes it eco-friendly.”
“It promotes reading and spelling and we think younger children will particularly enjoy it. It makes spelling easier, which helps build confidence.”
“It’s really motivating because it’s like a game, which makes learning fun. There are also so many choices because there is Computing Shed, Spelling Shed and MathShed.”

The Kids Judge Bett event is known for its high-energy, celebratory atmosphere and its focus on pupil voice. Taking place live at the Bett Arena, the awards bring together children, teachers and families to shine a spotlight on the educational technology that truly resonates with young learners. This year’s ceremony was hosted by BAFTA award-winning presenter Maddie Moate, widely recognised for her work on CBeebies and CBBC and her passion for storytelling and science communication.
Kids Judge Bett is devised and organised by Katy Potts, Computing and Online Safety Lead at Islington Council, in collaboration with BESA (The British Educational Suppliers Association).
The award marks a high point at the end of a successful Bett for EdShed and reinforces the company’s commitment to creating learning resources that children genuinely love to use.
